With great pleasure and proud, we invite you to explore our new homepage which was redesigned, rebuilt and updated by our young women team of graphic designer and IT specialist. We strongly believe that this new construction suits better the character of our journal and will encourage you to search and read the content of this site with hudge number of scientific papers which have been made available here.

The works on the portal were co-financed by the Minister of Education and Science as part of the two-year task “Modernization and update of web portals of the Library of the Polish Composers’ Union” within the framework of the “Social responsibility of science – Support for scientific libraries 2021” programme.

For those who prefer traditional, paper reading: the 20th (2022) volume of the Polish Musicological Yearbook is available for purchase in online bookstore of the PWM Edition. As the publisher of the printed version of our journal, the PWM Edition will send obligatory copies to chosen libraries. Complimentary copies for all our Authors will be sent as soon as possible from the Research Library of the Polish Composers' Union. We sincerely thank all individuals and institutions whose help and common work made it possible to prepare and publish the current volume. We are proud to announce that the new (the 20th) volume of the “Polish Musicological Yearbook” is already available in open access on two scientific websites: Sciendo (a part of De Gruyter company) and the Library of Science (developed by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling at the University of Warsaw). At the same time hard copies of this issue are being prepared by the PWM Edition and will be soon available at their internet bookshop, with all other volumes 2016-2021 produced by the PWM Edition until now. We are sincerely grateful to the PWM Edition for very successful co-operation!

We are glad to announce that the new volume of the “Polish Musicological Yearbook” was published on this site in the All Issues menu. The 2022 edition (No. 20) of the “Yearbook” is entitled “Women and Music” and contains (among others) a number of papers presented during the 50th Musicological Conference of the Polish Composers Union, “Music of Women. Women in Music”, which was organised on 9–11 September 2021 at the Faculty of Art (Institute of Music), University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. We hope you will find them interesting and inspiring. The printed version of this issue will be soon available at the PWM Edition internet bookstore.
