Reviewing process
The ‘Polish Musicological Yearbook’ is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal.
Each publication is reviewed by two independent reviewers.
The author and reviewers do not know each other’s identities and there is no conflict of interest between them.
Reviews are prepared in writing, based on a standard form. The names of the reviewers are disclosed in each yearbook in the printed version of the journal.
Each review should answer the following questions:
Does the article contribute important and new content to the literature on the subject/topic?
(yes/no/partially)
Does the article take into account the current state of research on the subject?
(yes/no/partially)
Does the article use appropriate scientific methods?
(yes/no/partially)
Is the reviewed article suitable for publication?
1) in its current form,
2) after taking into account the reviewer’s comments,
3) requires re-evaluation after incorporating the changes suggested by the reviewer,
4) is not suitable for publication.
Possible suggestions and other comments.

After receiving the reviews, the author should verify the paper and sent it back to the editor-in-chief who is in charge to make the final decision regarding the publication.
